Renowned Honda engines, as well as transmission cases, covers and other parts, are now made from aluminum a material that has become increasingly important in automotive design and production.
Honda Trading Tokyo delivers aluminum alloy materials and raw materials primarily to Honda Group companies. Honda Trading Osaka, on the other hand,
deals with companies unrelated to Honda, importing base metals from Russia for delivery to aluminum alloy producers and die-casting manufacturers, in addition to domestic business in scrap metal generated from End of Life Vehicles and Post consumer products. |

By playing a large part in minimizing the weight of automobiles, aluminum helps to reduce fuel consumption and vehicular emissions. Its advantages even extend beyond its initial application, as most aluminum products can be recycled for further savings in both costs and environmental impact.
Typically, recycling aluminum has required that it be liquefied from a solid state twice: once in the production of the specific alloy and again in the manufacturing process at the factory site. Since 1993, however, our company has employed an innovative system that supplies recycled aluminum to manufacturers in a molten state. This simplifies their processing and lowers their energy and facility costs, while helping to conserve natural resources and protecting the environment through reduced carbon dioxide emissions. |
