We strive every day to ensure a stable supply of quality woods, while also paying the careful attention to issues of resource conservation and corporate responsibility that our customers have come to expect.

We import larch, silver fir and red pine logs from the vast forests of Siberia and the Russian Far East.

Our imports of Russian raw timber reached 200,000 m3 in 2004, positioning HT in the upper ranks of Japanese import trading companies. This success is due to the strong support of our customers, which we will continue working to earn and expand.

As part of our long-term efforts in working with Russian interests to develop their timber resources, we participated in the establishment of a Siberian sawmill and timber processing plant in an area of outstanding forestry resources, and acquired exclusive rights to export lumber from this facility.

Our associates visit the site regularly to ensure optimal response to our customers’ needs, not only in terms of pricing but of quality and supply volume as well.
