Initial Firing Ceremony Held at YFA in Thailand

Yamamoto Foundry Asia Co., Ltd. (YFA), a joint concern of Honda Trading and Yamamoto Foundry, a maker of casting for operational machinery, held consecration and initial firing ceremonies on Friday, October 10th.
Honda Engineering Asian President Ito, Honda Trading Thailand President Yamaki, Honda Trading Managing Director Matsumoto, YFA Chairman Yamamoto and YFA President Yamamoto attended the ceremonies to pray for the safety of the new plant, which was completed in early October.
YFA plans to start full-scale manufacturing operations in 2009 and aims to be "an ecology-oriented casting plant with Asia's number one competitiveness."

Honda Trading was approved as an authorized exporter by Tokyo Customs on the official date of May 19th. With this approval, HT can perform quicker and smoother loading of export cargo, for further service enhancement.

| New Molten Aluminum Company Established in China
Honda Trading has established its second overseas molten aluminum company-MAP-F, Molten Aluminum Producer Foshan Co., Ltd.-at Nanhai, Foshan-city, Guangdong Province, China, through joint capitalization with Allis Sanyo.

Honda Trading started sales of marine product”Umi-No-Karushiumu-Jikomi”, a patented technology for maintaining freshness, owned by our subsidiary, Japan Techno Corporation.
Natural Alkali Processing technology, which uses alkaline compounds derived from seashells and other sources of oceanic calcium, is several times more effective than conventional methods at maintaining the freshness of fish and mollusks.
Honda Trading aim to contribute to society worldwide with this technology, which enables us to offer consumers safe and healthy foods while making the most effective use of natural resources.

Honda Trading established Tochigi Branch (Import Section/Die & Mold Section) and Sayama Branch (Import Section) as domestic sales bases in parts and machinery business, added to branches in Suzuka and Kumamoto.
By these new establishments, HT’s domestic sales bases locate in six places such as Osaka, Nagoya, Suzuka, Kumamoto, Tochigi and Sayama, excluding HT Head Office. HT continues to reinforce customer service enhancement.

| MAP Sayama Corporation Established as Third Aluminum Smelting Company
Honda Trading established the aluminum smelting company MAP Sayama Corporation with 100% investment and held an igniting ceremony following the completion of plant construction on April 24. This is HT’s third such base in Japan.
MAP Sayama aims to supply liquefied aluminum for Honda Motor’s Saitama Factory through a procedure that eliminates the need for re-liquefaction, thereby contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions, considered a contributing factor to the greenhouse effects implicated in global warming.
The factory will begin operations in May and aims to achieve full-scale production by August, with an estimated annual sales volume of between 3 and 3.5 billion yen.

| New Company Established in Conjunction with Acquisition of Trading Rights in China
Following acquisition of the Chinese sales and trading rights authorized by China’s Ministry of Commerce in February of this year, on April 1st Honda Trading Corporation established Honda Trading (China) Co., Ltd. As the sole trading subsidiary of the Honda Group, HT has developed comprehensive distribution services in support of automobile, motorcycle and power equipment production around the world, and established Honda Trading (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. in the Guangzhou bonded district in 2002 to provide similar services in China. With this new step forward, HT will be able to supply even broader support to Honda Group companies in the region.
Adding to the trading rights acquired in January of this year by HMCI?Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., located in Beijing?the new authorization gives HT sales and trading rights in all spheres regarding equipment, parts and materials production. This is expected to enhance the competitive strength of Honda products in China through dramatic improvements in such areas as service quality and cost reduction.
With this agreement, Honda Trading became the first Japanese manufacturer trading company to be granted such specific business rights in China.

| Participating in the Health Food Market with Nattokinase
With commercial launch of the nutritional supplement ingredient known as “Nattokinase,” Honda Trading is making further inroads into the health food market. “Natto,” a traditional Japanese food made from fermented soybeans, has long been noted for various benefits to human health. HT focused on this as a research topic and was working on ways to commercialize it with Dr. Hiroyuki Sumi, a professor at Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts who discovered “Nattokinase.” We subsequently acquired exclusive license of patent no. 2119017 regarding “Nattokinase” components and have recently succeeded in bringing it into commercial production. Beginning in March 2006, HT will supply this ingredient domestically and plans to develop it on a global basis, including the US, through our overseas networks.
